Hi Jess90,
Maybe this is just a coincedence case for me? Maybe I didnt have anxiety? Or maybe i had a thick coating in my nose, throat or airways that reduces the amount of air in or out; therefore it caused other symptoms? No one knows.
My family doctor didnt say this vaccine would help those symptoms but he said, "since you have not got it then you should get it, it might help you in some ways"
Here are the causes & effects of these diseases:
Tetanus causes serious painful spasms of all muscles. It can lead to locking of the jaw so the patient cannot open his or her mouth or swallow.
Diphtheria causes a thick coating in the nose, throat, or airway. It can lead to breathing problems, heart failure, paralysis and death.
I also told my psychiatrist that the vaccine seemed to help my breathing...etc but she didnot think it would help. Anyway, I didn't have any day without those symptoms for the last 10 months and suddenly it's GONE... just right after i got the shot. Strange? I think so too.
I guess this vaccine helps to reduce a thick coating in the nose, throat, or airway which makes me getting more air in and out, therefore, i feel better. It might help me in this case but not others so who knows.
Goodluck to you,
Did you doctor recommend doing the vaccine to help with the dizziness/lightheadedness? Does it mean you had this virus? How did it help, what did the vaccine have in it that helped with these things?
You can read my earlier entry about Dizziness/Light headedness.
As i have said on my other entry that i felt like **** for the last 10 months. My doctor mentioned about the vaccine but i just ignored him...but I finally agreed to get Tetanus and Diphtheria Vacccine (TD) yesterday.
Today, I'm on my 2nd day without ANY light headedness, dizziness or shortness of breathe. I can feel that my breathing is back to normal. I guess the vaccine does help clearing up my nostril/airway or something.
You can try it if you like. Just talk to your doctor.
Thanks,
I suggest you go see your Primary Care Physician and then if she/he can't find what's wrong..they'll send you to a psychiatrist for evaluation. Those sound like symptoms of anxiety...but get checked out first to eliminate anything else.
thats pretty much how I felt on paxil,,, disconnected from the world, 3 steps behind and above myself like watching from a distance,, and my feelings were just completely numb, outside of the horrible suppressive sadness that just made me not care about myself or my life.
please report any sensations like this to your doctor/psychologist and if they try to up your dose, find a speciliast in these chemicals who can figure out whats not working and put you on the right track.
*much respect*
Can you explain the feeling in a little more depth? You don't feel real, is that what you mean? Like you aren't connected with things?
I can totally relate to how you feel, I just posted something similar, "feel weird in my own body", read that and see if that is how you feel.
