are others afraid when we are wll

I am finally getting back to my "normal" self but have been asked by several people if I'm getting high. Must admit it made me wonder but to be honest I was just feeling fine. Sleeping well, good healthy appetite and busy but not to busy. I'm lucky the psychologist said it's just me returing to my self again. Also checked it out with a good freind who felt because I'm getting my energy back and being cheeky (normal for me) others are not sure what to make of it. Funny how people get used to you being depressed and low for so long they don't know what to do when you change for the better. Seems people really do lose sight of the real me. I'm still enjoying it though !!!

I know what you mean.  A couple of weeks ago, I had people at work (I'm a mental health coordinator RN believe it or not) asking me if I had been dipping into the samples.  I guess I was manic or hypomanic.  I'm new to this in regards to myself.  They had been so used to me being kind of all business/down in the dumps, when I finally wasn't, they jokingly thought I was taking "happy" pills.  Which by the way, I will/would never do unless my PsyNP prescribed them for me!

Many people don't understand what the experience is like. But one good way to keep track of your moods is to use the Mood Tracker here. Then bring it to your psychiatrist and they can determine how things are going for you and you can then discuss it further.

Well... when I started medication a bunch of people said I had a personality change overnight and that they didn't want me to stop taking my meds.  I was told I looked like I was mad at the world beforehand.
