Depakote?

I just started depakote ER 6 days ago. But I feel as if I'm a living zombie. It's like my feelings have left, I also can't sleep and if I do it's only for like two hours. I haven't had a mood swing since taking this medicine I'm 17 years old. Idk I just feel like it's sucking the life out of me. Are these side effects going to last forever?

Hello, I am taking this medication. When I started on it I felt the same as you, it does get better but you might feel this way for a week or two more until you get used to it.

   The worst effect as regards side effects happens when a person starts a new medication and generally it improves over time. See how it works out and update your psychiatrist and then after a time frame they would give you to see if you can tolerate it depending on what is happening at that point you can discuss with them what to do from there.
