Proposed Poll

Hi everyone,

The next Poll is a follow on from the medications one and it will be asking where we are from (country wise).  I know this is not very scientific but I am hoping that by comparing the medication poll and the country poll we can see a pattern - purely for interest of course.

My problem is I am rubbish at Geography! Especially continents and I'm a bit stuck on how to do it and would appreciate suggestions, guidance, help.

So would you suggest:  America, England, Australia, Canada, Africa, etc etc  or USA, Europe, Asia etc

I hate to show my ignorance so obviously :(

Thanks
(or if someone else would like to prepare the poll for me I will be eternally grateful!!!!)

Thank you everyone who has offered their superior geographical knowledge (lol) and suggestions.

I am giving this some careful thought which is why I haven't posted the poll yet.

It does look like it will have to be 2 polls running at the same time, one to show where we are geographically and one to try and highlight differences in health care.  However, I don't think it is possible to have as comprehenisve a poll on this as I would like.

I am aiming to get the poll(s) posted in the next couple of days.

I'd be really interested to see that data, too.  I think because the the nations appear to have such different medical "cultures" that I'd like to see this information broken down into countries.
But I think it would be very cumbersome as opposed to continents (plus USA).

Maybe we could break up a poll between us, one person taking on the stats of several countries.  But I haven't thought that idea out yet.  Any comparision would shed an interesting light.
Good idea.

I have read several articles and books that relate to the weather/daylight effects of depression on the body. Not being clear if you want medical practice's info in regards to different countries or geographical info (long/lat) info this would be my question.

Thanks for the input.  At the moment I am thinking of going with monkeyc but with a slight alteration to show that North America is excluding the USA (as that will have its own tick box).

Any points that people want to make with regard to their medical systems can be raised in the comments section.

I think this is probably the most user friendly way to go ahead.

i am irish and live in mayo. the difference in med care is so diverse between countries eg. here if you qualify for a medical card (ido) you get free doc, tdoc and pdoc although i see my pdoc privately because public one is and idiot. (pdoc actually doesn't chargeme anymore as am broke, he also sees my three kids free if they need it so am very lucky with him and he's available all the time on phone, weekends included) can see him for an hour, once/week, twice/week whatever is needed or what his time schedule is like. i also get my meds free, i just go to doc with pdoc prescription and he puts it on a free one. except for xanax because my doc will dole them out in threes and fours! stupid given that you'd need over a thousand of them to od! goodle earth will give you a good idea as to where everyone is. hope i have given you the right info!
