is it psychosomatic?

i have bipolar disorder. i take lithium, venlafxin and trazadone. my latest blood tests were normal.
my mood is very stable.

ive been having physical symptoms for a few months. they are the same sympotoms that come on usually once a year for a few months.

they include bad hand tremors, electic muscle twitches, musles tensing up causing spasm and pain in left leg and foot.

they symptoms are constant and i dont get much relief, only when walk does my foot calm down.
ive posted this in the nerological forum as a few years ago i was reffeed to a neuro for test but i moved during this to another county and never heard anything.

i dont want to go to my gp if its nothin.

when they tense up i try real hard to relax them but i cant. even if i try pulling my foot back into its normal postion (the heel pulls up when it spasms) i cant physicall pull it back.

its not anxiety because i have nothing to be anxious about in fct my life is very good at the mo.

if it is psychosomatic how can i stop it.
is there anything i can do to relieve the pain. im sleeping with a pillow under my foot.

thanks you

pelase reply if you can as it has knocked my confidence that noone cared on the other forum

That is a very good idea to keep a diary in regards to your symptoms and where they are. I do that and then take a list into my gp or any specialist, so they know that is going on. Please keep us informed or e-mail me privately.

Good Luck,

I agree with Venora there are people in this forum that care. You are not psychosimatic.
You really need to speak with your dr. There has to be some tests that would be helpful. Be assertive and don't quit until you get some answers. Also if you have a psychiatrist, call him and let him know what is going on. You may need to see a neurologist again. It could be something that they can help you with. Good Luck and remember we are here for you.

There is something physically wrong and you need to find out what it is.  I'm thinking low calcium, sodium, something in that nature could be the culprit.  A good gp will run blood tests to see if any of those levels are low.  If they're fine then make them try something else.

Don't waste your time worrying about what other people think.  It doesn't matter anyway.  The only one that matters is what you think and feel.

yeah just had it done. all fine as are my lithium levels, liver function, kidney function and all the rest.

its nearly 2am and i ant sleep because my leg is so painful.
but im really scared of goin to gp.

the reason why is i hate going to doctor and finding out there nothing wrong cos i feel iv wasted their time plus im terrified theyl think im attention seeking or something.
to make this worse a pdoc at last hospital stay diagnosed with me bordline personality which my cpn and own pdoc say is rubbish but its on my file at gp.
i had various tests by neuro last year for same symptoms but i moved before results came back. i never heard anything so assumed they were fine.

thanks for responding. i really apreciate your time. i wouldnt have posted if it wasnt really being a problem now.
