Dr Heffez

Hello everyone! Today I made an appt with Dr Heffez in Wisconsin for next week. I am very anxious to hear everyones thoughts on him good or bad. What is he like? Is his office staff good to deal with? Do they return phone calls promptly? Does he have a good "bed side" manner? I am very excited to finally get in to see a chiari specialist and would appreciate any info on him or his office/staff and experiences you all may have.
Thanks so much!! Hope you all are having a good and pain free day:)

I agree hes awesome!!
he is a surgeon first, but you will like him a lot , YES they return calls, and emails very promptly...
he makes you feel like you are an equal, and he doesnt speak DOWN to you he speaks to  you when i had my appointment with him the first time I also had my son with and my son (9 at the time)  had questions and he spoke to him on his level also, I was really impressed

You can send an email or call him ANY TIME with questions and he will get back to you as soon as possible one thing you will want to remember his he does SURGERY on Mondays so if you need him on a monday you may be waiting a little while until you hear from him..

Hi! Dr. Heffez is doing my surgery in May. We have 3 members that i know of that have had their surgery with dr. Heffez, but they are not on here that often. I love dr. H and his assistant Renee is awesome! When you go next week, You'll have your mri's and blood work done on tuesday. Wednesday You'll go to dr. Heffez's office. You'll meet with one of the neurologists (i saw dr. Mitchell) and then You'll get to meet dr. Heffez. I dont know how many other drs you've been to, but for me this was SO different than any other dr! I even liked dr. Mitchell and i have a REALLY bad taste in my mouth when it comes to NLs. Both drs were extremely thorough and dr. Heffez spent over an hour and half with us! I never once felt like I had to "defend" myself! He explained everything and made sure that my husband and I both understood. If you have any other questions just ask! Hope that helps ~ Shannon
