Cine flow and MRI

Ok Selma help me with the latest:) since I am total type a I picked up my radiology report even though I see dr Oro tomorrow lol.  Cine study says csf flow appears diminished posterior to the tonsils,diminished inferior to the tonsils and posterior to the cord.  Flow appears diminished through the foramen of magendie.  With my symptoms do you think this means I will be a surgery candidate?  

Thoracic MRI also says broad based central disk protrusion t7-t8 level with mild flattening of the underlying the cal sac and cord.

Sounds like you are already getting some good information from your visit with Dr Oro.  I am so glad...welcome to colorado and it is not usually this cold.  Keep us posted of everything and I hope that he can help, I will tell you the hospital experience is amazing as everyone there is their because they want to work with chiari patients!!   Well flattening of the cord is not good I know that...and this is not a full scope of what is going on...I am sure Dr Oro will fill u in,......wish I could tell u more.

That was the only thing that I could tell was "abnormal"

  Is that everything it said?... flattening is not a good thing, so it is relevant, but I really can not comment as I am not that well informed on this aspect.....

Does that bottom sentence mean anything of importance?

  Yes....surgery is to restore flow...slow , diminished flow can cause a syrinx to form, so doing nothing at this point will allow that to happen...they will not want that....

  I am still curious to see if he will suggest something else first....like PT.....
