Chiari and Sleep. What is your sleep like?

Not sure what everyone's sleep pattern is like.  Ever since this started for me I have not been able to sleep on my own.  I mean that I can't sleep an entire night without medication.  Even with the medication I can't really sleep a whole night through.  My mind feels like I'm just going and going and sometimes I get up in the morning even more tired.  I wish I could sleep a night without this constant nightmare.

the cpap machine can really help if you have sleep apnea, I read that apnea is associated with chiari

you should get a sleep study at a sleep lab

  Hi....B4 surgery I was lucky to get 2 hrs a night, it would go like that for a few nights, and then I would have 1 night that i did sleep. But I know what u mean about my mind going, u think about all u have to do the next day, and it keeps u up.

   To give u some hope, post op I am sleeping better.....and since starting the magnesium supplement I am feeling more rested, where b4 even if I did sleep I did not feel refreshed.

Me too momo I take 10 mg of ambien at night and can sleep for 5 hours.  Previously I was waking up in pain hourly and often to use the bathroom too.
