I live in portland, too and saw Dr. Pankaj Gore at Providence St. Vincent's. He isn't a specialist but a neurosurgeon who did a fantastic job and I am healing SO WELL and you can't even see my scar at just 3 months post-op. Barely any of my hair was shaved. Their group is so supportive, I highly recommend him. My PCP referred me, but my insurance really doesn't require one. GOOD LUCK!

I am adding the link to the thread that Shannon mentioned.....most of us do have to travel to get to a true chiari specialist......and as Shannon said, research all drs to find the best one 4 u.
