I go shooting all the time...Honestly as long as you aren't suffering from any "drop attacks" or losing consciousness then i say live! Recoil I here ya...Got to be a little sensitive with that...my chiari however hasn't been a major headache problem as much as dizziness, imbalance, etc... good luck! Keep hunting
Hi...I do not hunt, so I can not give u advice on that front from the perspective of someone that knows firsthand, but wanted to comment.
Ray made a good point...if u have a CSF obstruction and u do suffer from drop attacks this is not an idea sport for u....and Roy mentions he is able to continue to enjoy the sport.
My thoughts on both is this...know what is going on with ur chiari...how it is affecting u...if u have an obstruction...change ur weapon to one that the recoil does not affect u as much so u can still enjoy the sport but not have the pain afterward...and like everyone that handles a gun ....keep it safe if ur symptoms change....u may have to stop.
Keep safe

I still shoot blue rock with no problem with a 12 guage shotgun and have been out doing upland game bird hunting the last couple of years with no problems... As far as rifles I do not know about.
Some states hunt only with shotguns - so It sounds like your state is not that way. I wish you the best of luck.

recoil from your hunting rifle is one problem, another more dangerous problem for many with CM is Syncope or Drop Attacks where a person blacks out temporarily, if this were to happen when you have a gun in your hand someone is liable to get hurt.
