Well u should try to avoid as much lifting as possible...sit and let ur little one crawl onto ur lap when possible..or lift from a higher position....an elevated bed, chair...etc is better then from the floor.

No pushing the vacuum, no lifting laundry baskets....heck I could not lift a gal of milk...just did not have the strength.....but it also hurt like heck to try.

U need someone to help and allow u to heal...it takes time, I understand u have pain, but u r doing way too much too soon...u can end up with a CSF leak ....so do get some help.

i am so sorry to hear that you are having so much pain, and I truely understand that you cannot just lye around with a one year old. I have a 7*4*3 year old. I havent had surgery, but there are so many times that it is so hard to keep up with their daily needs..more less their wants.Well, that actually really scares me though...I have been on Lortab 10 mg for a while now, and it still works for me, but just recently they added a morphine extended release 15mg in morning and night to help with the pain. If I am on these meds and I have to have surgery, it scares me to  think that I may not be able to get out of pain. Anyway, back to you...Have you tried calling his office to maybe see him for a visit....From what I have heard here...you should not still be hurting so bad, and if you are...something may not be right. I hope that you get the attention that you need and deserve. you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I do all of the activities above and i also have a one year old so i cant just lay around in the bed all day but even when im not active i still have horrible pain that is not even controlled by the pain meds because i was on the same meds before surgery so i think my body had come accustomed to it so thats why its not working for me now (7.5 lortabs)

Yes, that is the next thing to look at is ur activity level and what u r doing daily...or not doing.

Do u walk...do neck exercises....avoid lifting, pulling and pushing?Bending?

We are all diff and have a diff threshold for pain...u should also make sure u ruled out Ehlers-danlos as it can affect how u heal...those with it tend to heal slower.

Hi.....may I ask, is ur pain surgical pain, or r u having symptoms...and is this the same pain u had prior to surgery and is it worse then b4?

U should be able to start to step off ur meds at this point, if not, there could be a reason for it...have u had a post op visit with ur NS?...and did u discuss the pain u r having?
