Flying home after surgery and experiences in Colorado

Hi Everyone.....
I am getting a second surgical opinion for my Chiari decompression with Dr Oro in Colorado next month. I would appreciate details of anyone else's experience. Also, I am being to I can fly home afterwards.... Has anyone done this? I will read everything anyone has to say, the more details the better I will feel as I like to know what to expect. If you don't want to post here you can PM me. Thanks, Lisa

I talked I you outside of medhelp but wanted to say I felt car ride was much worse with every bump and turn. Flight is faster and pressurized. I had the airport ready with a wheelchair when I arrived ask for special needs.

I am sorry I didn't even think about this.  Right before I had surgery we flew to CA for vacation and back.  This was before I had surgery.  I didn't have any problems at all.  I will send you a private also to make sure you get this.

Dr oro is my ns. He is very thorough and honest. Great dr, period. I am flyin out there sept 15 for testing on the 16. I had my 2nd surgery theree but was aafraid of the pressure from flying, so we drove.

Hi Lisa!  I am so thrilled to see this! I was hoping you would be able to check into Dr. Oro! I know we have talked a bit about all of this and your worries. I think this is a wise choice for added info! Let me know if there is anything you need...will I be seeing you on Sept 21st??  Hugs, Jiggle

Lisa, I will contact her to talk with u,.,....I know she did travel as she does not live in CO......

The forum is a little slow right now and we had a change over.....older members that had surgery no longer post like they had and most of the members now have yet to have surgery....

I am sure we will be able to locate some info for u.

Surprised no one has anything to say about this... I did read the members journal you suggested. She didn't speak of flying or about the experience there, but it was nice to read about her recovery. Thanks, Lisa :-)
