MRI RESULTS...

Here are my results from the last mri:

I went and saw my nuerologist and he said that things look fairly good to him from looking at the mri; he refered me to a Sleep Apnea doctor due to my problems sleeping at night.  I have sleep apnea, but can't wear it due to the pressure of the mask on the back of my head.and face.  

The meeting with the sleep apnea doctor said that the herination according to the mri is very minimal at this time.  How can it go from 3 cm to minimal?  She told me that it can heal itself so to speak; I just can not swallow all that she told me.  I do not have stupid on my for head you all know.  :)  .  She has me  set up with an appt. for a new sleep apnea machine that does not force the air into you all the time but only as you need it and a mask system that does not put so much pressure on the face and so on.  

The appt. is set for this friday.  
If she can help me great I am always open to new ideas; if I can get better sleep then the head aches and neck aches might lessen some.  I will go into this adventure with open arms and attitudes and hopes.  I am a optimist and hope for good things.  I am also a realist as well.    

As well with the head surgeon; which was supposed to be friday last week.  His nurse called and cancelled the appt.
my wife took the call and asked why? his nurse would not tell her, my wife asked if he was going to re schedule it? she did not answer that either...  My wife said that she was rather short with my wife and she hung up the phone on my wife...  My guess is that he sees no reason to have a consultation at this time.

I am open to all views and opinions & experinces on this.

  But u have had an increase in size since ur last MRI, yes?....I am not sure what all is going on....or if u can try someone like Dr Henderson in MD, or Dr Rosner in NC....see what they say...mayb Dr Oro was right last spring, but things may have changed.

I know not all of us with chiari r surgical candidates.....and even tho we r not one at that time, it dose not preclude us from future decisions that would include it in a treatment plan.

It seems head aches are the norm for me so far this spring;  I can not say that this winter was a lot of fun either in the head ache dept.  The cold in Nebraska is just over rated some times.

They are not as bad right now; with spring and it should be better as the weather warms up.  If I can get more spring;

I have sent all my stuff to Dr. Oro last spring; he said that he would do nothing different; I have not sent him the one from this last mri.  

My insurances are Blue Cross and Tri Care so they are these days more fortunate than most people out there.

I have a very good Dr friend that works very closely with my neurologist.  When I had my MRI I also had a massive headache at the same time.  My herniation was only 5 mm but symptomatically I was suffering.  He told me that if I had not had a headache at the time of the MRI the herniation would not have shown up.  He said that the herniation changes which is why we have cycles.  My radiologist missed my diagnosis but the Dr caught it so you may want to find a better informed dr.  Wish you all the luck!!!

  It's been a while since we spoke and I am sorry u r getting the RCR.....

May we ask, is this a chiari Dr?...mayb u need to try someone else....I am not sure if u can travel, insurance wise or what else u may want to do, but at least send copies of ur MRI's to chiari drs for a assessment....some charge nominal fees, some are free (with hopes u will come to them I am sure)...but in the long run, u get an opinion with out traveling there.

The fact ur Dr cancelled with out an explanation, I would deff find a new one.
