The newbie with a few new questions

I should see someone to do some nerve blacks for the 2 cervical disc herniation's that need surgery.
Since they have figured out that I have CM1 Malformation....
Should I even worry about these nerve blocks??
My neck hurts, and the center of my back, but nothing compares to this HEADACHE that is constant.

Also If there are any questions I could ask a Neurologist, when I see that person, if that happens this week....
Please, a list would help me have the proper ammo, to make the neurologist do their job.

I am taking 10mg hydrocodone for this pain, honestly I don't think it touches the headache, are there other
prescription med that would help me at least be able to not be in this pain for at least Christmas day???
Or perhaps, even just a better medication to treat the symptoms ??
I take 3 , 10mg Hrdrocodone tablets, 2,1600 mg neurotin, 3, 75 mg, lyrica....

I have learned by testing different things, if I walk really slow, and sit gently, also sleep in the recliner upright
That these few things, keep the headache from actually making me cry...
My wife has been trying little things to help me also, lower volume on TV, keeping the kids from yelling.....etc

These are the things I can do on my own , and ask a Doctor about, to help them help me......
Silence has become my new best friend by the way........
any and all input keep a 37 year old man from crying in front of his family........thanks you guys.......russell

Hi Trying anti inflammatory meds along with eating foods that also fall into that category can help...we do have a page  here on that in the Health pages.....see the icon top right of this screen.

I also find low lighting to be helpful...my family says y r u sitting in the dark....it is not dark, just low light : )

I usually suggest aroma therapy...soaking in a tub with a few scented candles burning to help one relax....not sure as a male if u go for something like that......but even a good warm saok with a damp cloth over ur eyes may help.

hey one that helps me is Flextra. Now all it does is dull the pain but it does not make me sleepy which was a major thing for me. I have miagraine meds that do NOTHING. Luckily my PCP is great and willing to try different things.
