Why do chiari headaches come and go?

If the chiari is always there, then why do I have bad headaches one day, then none the next? What makes them come and go?

Hi...from what I can tell it is the inflammation of the tonsils and the over production of CSF that gets blocked up that creates the pain....I can tell the barometric pressure can play a part, many have noticed changes with weather changes.

I am not sure y symptoms and pains for ne condition cycle...they just do, and I always enjoyed the down cycle when I was feeling good : )

Cool thanks. Now I'm curious. I'm going to pay attention to the pressure and weather when I get a headache and see if there's a connection. I have cut a lot of things out of my diet that I know make it worse and it has helped a lot. But last week I got a random one that seemed to have come out of nowhere.

I def. think weather changes cause  flare ups in headaches. I used to think it was just allergies, but wondered why I was getting allergies when it would rain, or the start of winter..etc. (and I never got a stuffy or runnung nose or eyes, just headaches and pressure in my ears nose).but I now think its Chiari, and it makes much more sense...

My sons headaches are bad pressure in the fron tof his head and behind his eyes. Kind of like a sinus headache. Is it his Chiari?

I get chiari headaches when I turn my head...I can feel the pressure building and building.
