I have a hemangioma or benign lesion on T12, what is this mean?

Sometimes the tonsils will retract back up into the space they were meant to be in.....

  There are so many variables as we all know too well...those with tethered cord, the tonsils may not retract like others may as the TC continues to pull down on the brain stem and everything else....

 This is y if the Dr is aware of TC , they may do this surgery first, to see if the tonsils will retract and elevate the issues...this does not always work and more surgery may be needed...and as I said it depends on what else is going on inside and how our body responds.

  But it has been known to happen that the tonsils retracted and were not as long( as herniated) as b4 surgery.....

I just had a full spine MRI done and my NS told me in my result's that my tonsil's did go back up. I don't know if this is the same as shrinking, but he said it was a good thing. He also told me that my brain is tilted. Has anyone else heard of this. No wonder why I feel off balance someday's LOL...

I have one and was told it was a cluster of blood vessels (I think was the word used) similar to the little red bump on my hand.  My Dr did not seen concerned with that.

I said just that in another thread...u r right...they no longer remove the tonsils, and they may cauterize them to shrink them up, but as u said, they make more room for the CSF to flow...surgery is for that purpose and not a fix or a cure.....

I don't know anything about the lesion...

But my understanding is nothing changes with your tonsils after surgery.  They just have more room to function and your CSF can flow more easily around the tonsils due to the surgery.  But the actual tonsils stay the same if all goes well.

Forum, please speak up and tell me if I'm wrong cause that's only my understanding :)

A hemangioma or benign lesion is a spot or growth  unlikely to ever become cancerous.  Depending where this is and it's size it can put pressure on nerves causing pain and numbness.

Whatever it is is the exact area where most of my pain is. Also my new cervical exam says no significant change from before surgery and still tonsillar herniation. I kinda thught the tonsils were suppose to shrival up or something?
