penny is having her decompression surgery tomorrow morning with dr heffez.  please keep her in your prayers for a successful outcome and quick recovery.

Penny is out of the hospital today! We are staying at Kathy's House in Milwukee til next week. She sees Dr. Heffez on Tuesday and then we should be able to head back home. She's doing great. Walking well and has begun to regain some sensation on her right side already! The doctor said that there was a blood vessel that was being pressed into the brain and "grooving" the brain on the left side right where it would affect her right side sensation. I can't wait to tell the NL's that said her Chiari was insignificant and would cuase her issues. God is so good! Thanks again for all the prayers, advice and support! Y'all are awesome!

just texted with johnathan...penny's still doing great!  feeling a little nausea from the pain meds, but says the nursed are on top of it.  things are going great so far!!!

just talked with johnathon.....penny is doing great!  her surgery only lasted 2 1/2 hrs which is really great!  she is still in recovery, but is expected to be moved into her own room any minute.  will let you all know more as i do, but keep the prayers rollin for a speedy recovery!!
