Intimacy after surgery

OK, for those of you who have had the surgery - how long did you have to wait to become intimate with your partner post-surgery?

Too funny. We waited a month because I just couldn't lay flat for a while, and even then I couldnt lay propped up. When we did, I was ok at first, but the "motion" LOL - kept pushing my head into the pillow and it really started hurting, and afterwards my head really hurt for a couple of days on my incision and inside my incision. I would say we didn't go back to really great - uh - alone time - untill about a month ago, when I could finally put my body however I wanted. Even before that, if we layed side to side, just having "THE BIG MOMENT" :) made me have a HA.  Um - we found out too that for me to - ok how to put this- treat him right - he would have to stand next to me. Just picture that LOL - or maybe you don't want to LOL - anyway. :)

I'm happy it was well received - we're all here for each other, right?

Really though, after all these posts, I'm quite shocked that Lizzy didn't bring it up first!

This was a question I had on my 'list' for the doctor but would never ask it!!  we waited about 3 1/2 weeks after!!

Like they all said - listen to your body - if you can - great - if you can't... you will when you're ready!!

(I like that this is much 'lighter' than some of the other stuff too!!)

I was going to guess about two months.  You guys are too funny!  Silliness is always refreshing.  It's part of what I love about this group.  Sounds like Ray will be sad he missed out on the fun.

Talk about frisky - Carolyn... 1 & 1/2 weeks?  Very brave!

Elizabeth.. when you said "baring complications" instead of "barring" was that pun intended?  lol... perfect!  (Is that what they call it these days?!)

We tried after about 11/2 weeks and it did NOT go well. I had way too much head pain at that point and ANY movement just propelled it into being unbearable. For your own sake...wait the same amount of time as you would wait after a c-section...at least 4 weeks!!!
