3 yr old accidental wetting issues

by beck724, Nov 05, 2009 12:34PM
my grandaugther is 3. she was potty trained for day time. still wears pull up at night time only.  last week she got a cold and then started wetting herself at least once a day ever since.  she can not give an explanation.  my daughter took her to the doctor and she has a bad cold and an ear infection.  but did not ask about wetting herself. could there could be a medical issue or is this normal for a child who is sick. if its normal, how long before she gets back on track?

Yes, it really is normal and there is no way to predict about the time frame. Since she is ill, her mom should tell the doctor about the enuresis because it may signify a UTI.
