Enuresis is often thought to be psychologically driven, but actually this is not very often the case. Sometimes a brief period of regression occurs if a child is experiencing some stress, such as parental separation or divorce, the death of a loved one, the arrival of a sibling, a move, etc. And it was reasonable to think that this could have been the case with your daughter.

But, in light of the diagnosis of bladder infection, it may well be that your daughter's enuresis is primarily a medical matter. Such infections can be pretty persistent. I think it's a good idea to investigate this further. I'm particularly struck in this regard by the frequency of the daytime wetting. Dr. KDK
