My daughter gets extremely upset when she leaves with her mother

3 months ago my fioncee and I split up.  My daughter turns 3 February 3rd. I haven't been able to see her until a few days ago.  I used to work 3 twelve hour shifts friday, saturday and sunday.  I had four days off a week and we were extremely close.  She would wake me up at 7 or 8 am everyday I was home.  When she had bad dreams or got scared and came into bed at 3 am, she would wake me up and crawl in next to me.  I was basically mommy most of the week.  I started seeing her and I was scared she wouldn't remember me, or wouldn't have the same relationship with me.  Well, it's worse than that.  She knows exactly who I am,  which is a dream come true, but when it's time for her to go with her mother she completely loses it.  She's recently sobbed herself to sleep, along with peeing her pants ( which hasn't happened in a verrrry long time), and even throwing up she gets so upset.  I just want to know if there is any way I can soothe her, or make her feel more comfortable going home.

This will even out over time. Such transitions are very difficult for young children. As long as you are being supportive and encouraging, that is all that is needed. If she dose not achieve some equanility about the transition from one home to theother over the next few months, it would be prudent for her to be evaluated by a pediatric menatl health clinician who can guide the both parents about how to proceed.
