What sould i do

My son is now 4 and half he will be 5 in june. I have been trying to potty train him the only way i can get him to pee in his potty is if he sits there for a long period of time. He does not say when he has to pee, he does not grab him self when he has to pee. It is almost as if it just comes out and after he pees on the tolit he just sits there as if he did not realize he went pee. If he pees in his pull up same thing if he pees in his under pants he feels he is wet and says he needs a change. He loves to sit on the potty but he just dosent pees again unless he is destracted and sits there for a long period of time. What to do he starts school in 7-8 months.

Don't let yourself panic about this. The fact that you are focusing on what might happen in seven or eight months indicates that you are letting yourself become alarmed, and this will not help. Maintain you equanimity, continue to be patient, continue what you are doing. Establish some reward system for using the potty/staying dry in between. This may help to increase your son's motivation. Use stories and videos to generate interest. Above all, don't panic.
