by Kevin Kennedy, Ph.D., May 06, 2002 12:00AM

The accumulation of CSF can result in intracranial pressure. Hydrocephalus can be a congenital condition, or it can be acquired in a number of ways. Acquired hydrocephalus can be occasioned by biological and exterior events that interfere with the drainage of CFS. One such event is head trauma, which can occur as the result of shaking a baby.
