my 6 year old son is obsessied with feet

hi...
my very bright six year old son is obsessed with feet...he wants to smell them, touch them, play with them... he tells me about people's feet and how he wants to smell and touch them...i have awakened to him smelling and touching my feet... this behavior cannot be normal... please advise...

The behavior does invite evaluation. To begin, schedule an appointment with his peditarician to review the situation. The behavior might indicate an Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, though by no means is that certain. The behavior can also be indicative of conditions along the Parvasive Developmental Disorder spectrum, so this possibility also deserves consideration.
