pain in groin

pain in groin

Since about 2 weeks I have a nagging pain in the left groin. Also my left thigh hurts in front down to the knee.I walk with a limp, because it hurts so bad. I am on pain management,I have a implanted pump for back problems, and normally this takes care of my pains in the back and neck. Why do I have this pain in my groin, that makes me miserable and wakes me up in the night.I always sleep with a pillow between the legs ,when I lay on the side or under the knees, when on the back.Even so,I woke up almost crying for pain.Last night I put the pillow under my butt and I didn't wake up.Something I did right,I guess. Thanks for answering!.

A number of different things could potentially cause this pain... it may be vascular, muscular, or structural in nature. What condition do you have that has required a pain pump, and where is it implanted?
