Nadolol

by L667, Oct 17, 2009 08:36AM
I have recently been put on Nadolol for high heart rate.  I am taking 5 mg.  I started off with 10 mg and cut it in half because my heart rate went down into the 50's during the day and I was extremely tired.   I have a high high rate while walking around but it does go down while resting into a normal rate prior to the drugs.  Now while on the Nadolol my heart rate while standing will go anywhere between 80-110.  While laying down it is in the 40's and 50's, sometimes 60's.  Are these rates okay?  They decided to put me on the beta blocker because i had 4 episodes of really high heart rate.  One episode my heart rate went up to 180 and I was seeing red spots.  Prior the the 4 episodes I had palpitations often but never the high racing,  Cant sleep over this. I am wearing a holter monitor right now.
