Hi Sir,

Before starting an exercise program, a stress test is done to determine how well your body responds to exercise and  this will help in determining a safe and effective level of exercise. Medication to control your CHF must also be taken regularly as prescribed.
The best exercises for CHF are aerobic activities, like walking or biking. It is recommended to start slowly, especially if you have been inactive in the past.  The duration and how much you'll be exerting yourself should be based on the result of your stress test. I recommend that you discuss this with your cardiologist on your next follow-up appointment.
