The chest pain could be due to many reasons. It could be due to the blockage of the coronary vessels (although the chances are less with the recent bypass). For ruling out the same, a coronary angiography should be done. The other possibilities are muscular chest pain, pain from the sternal sutures (although this shouldn’t last that long).
