Combining Zoloft with a TCA

I began Zoloft, 25 mg., yesterday.  I am also taking a tertiary tricyclic (Doxepin, 40 mg./day) for fibromyalgia.  Is there any contraindication to combining these two meds?  Thank you.  Sandra1400

These combinations have been used safely but you must be careful since the Doxepin has some of the same effects as Zoloft on serotonin, and the two may be addictive, and if you have pain and are sensitive, that makes a difference.  Be sure and cover this with your doctor to be safe.
