my boyfriend wont seek help

my boyfriend  has  serious  mood swings  and  depression  issues and  he  wont  seek help.  he wont talk (literally) to anyone  for days  @ a time. he  just  stays  cooped up in his  room. if u ask him if everything  is okay he  just  says ,"I DONT  FEEL  LIKE  TALKING  DONT WANNA  THINK  JUST  LEAVE  ME ALONE". his  mom  says  he has been this  way  since he  was  little  just  leave  him, he'll  talk  when  he  ready. the  other  day  he  said  he  feel  as  if  he  i losing his mind  and  he feels  trapped  buy his  mind. he  said  he  can  no  longer  control his  mood swings and he is  sad. but  he  wont  speak to anyone. he  just  shuts  down  and  shut the  world  out. how  do i help someone  who  know  the  need  help  but  wants  to be  the  'MAN' and  try  to  do it all alone?

In the end, only your boyfriend can agree to get help.  There are two things you can do. You can enlist his mother to be on your side and confront him with reality that he needs help and he is wasting his life.  The second is you can do this persistently, even if he gets angry, and  actually set up an appointment with the family doctor that he usually sees and trusts.
