A reoccuring itchy rash. Cold weather related?

So 2 years ago I had a few bumps on my thighs and butt. extremely itchy. I NEVER had skin issues in my life up until this point. I'm 25 years old and never even got acne that bad. So these few bumps spread to my legs, arms, all over my body til the point I couldnt sleep so I went to the ER. Now, mind you I dont have insurance so I don't end up going to the ER unless i absolutely have to.

The nurse at the ER, after glancing at my arm for a second says "Yep, it's scabies. See how the bumps form a line? They're tracking". So i get a shot, some steriods and some permithirn. I battled that itch for about 8 or 9 months. I used every OTC medicine I could find, used permithirn WAY more than I should have, probably, and used natural alternatives (like bathing in neem oil). No insurance and I spend most my savings on getting rid of the itch, but I did get rid of it.

Last winter I began to itch again, but it sort of went away. I was afraid it was scabies again, but I didnt use any permitherin or anything like that and it just went away. Its late November and im getting itchy and breaking out on my butt, thighs and my arms are starting to itch. I wonder if it will ever go away for good.

I sometimes wonder if my original scabies diagnosis was incorrect and maybe it had something to do with the cold weather? Because I remember my first bumps, of the first itch, were right around this time exactly. (I remember it well because of it being so close to Thanksgiving) I live in Northern Ohio and we see temperatures as low as 0 in the winter. So I guess I just wonder if the weather could be causing it. Or maybe its a fungal infection?

Sometimes I wonder if the fear of winter itself (I start to think about my previous battles and get so scared, upset, and depressed) is enough to cause me to itch, like psychologically. I know thinking about itching can make one feel itchy, but is the psychological factor enough to cause bumps and rashes?? Or have I just finally gone off the deep end? Thanks.
