Broken Blood Vessels (?) for 15+ years

Broken Blood Vessels (?) for 15+ years

Hello,

I am 19 years old and for as long as I can remember I have had a red spot in the middle of my nose caused by an accident where I ran face first into a door frame when I was about 4. I have learned to cover it with make-up, but I hate being so embarrassed to be seen without it. I always assumed it to be broken blood vessels, but it has never gotten any better or worse over my life. When I was 13-14 I went to several doctors to try laser treatments but nothing worked. One laser treated the surface level of my skin and gave me a huge purple bruise for weeks and the other supposedly treated deeper levels and left no mark, but neither had any effect. After maybe a dozen treatments, I had given up. But now I am wondering if any new lasers came out over the last 5 years that might be able to help me. I just don't understand how doctors can get rid of huge port-wine stains, but my little problem refuses to be fixed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hello,
Superficial veins are visible in normal fair skinned persons. Telangiectasia are small dilated blood vessels near the surface of the skin or mucous membranes. It can be due to venous hypertension, sun or cold exposure, skin trauma, carcinoid syndrome or CREST syndrome. You may be having telangiectasia.

I suggest you to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
