My dog chops on me

I have a Jack- Russell Terrier pup that is 6 months old. Her name is Shadow and she bites me every time I try to pet her . How can I end this ?

Puppies always do that. If you buy a bone type toy and put that by her mouth as she attempts to bite you, it should help. Also telling her "no" when she bites you and "good girl" when she bites the toy. The tone of your voice is what she will pick up on and learn that no means she must have done something wrong and 'good girl" should sound happy -upbeat and she will make the connection that biting the bone is a good thing and biting you is not good.
