elevated liver enzymes- no gallbladder

My 8 yr old chihuahua has elvated liver enzymes. He has shown no effects, its was discovered during blood work prior to a teeth cleaning. An ultrasound was done, the only result was that he was born without a galbladder. On vet thinks this is the problem, the other wants to do a biopsy. I was told that there is a drug to handle the gallbladder problem, the same humans take when their gallbaldder is removed. The dog is active, eating normally and all around happy. I do not know if I should put him through the biopsy of the liver and the expense if he is not showing any signs of being ill.

My 3 year old chihuahua was just taken to the vet too and she had the same, high liver enzymes. I took her in for vomitting and diareah. But the did blood work and found that. They never said anything about a biopsy to me. But I also want to know what is wrong and if she will be alrightt.
