my dogs nipples are leaking

my dogs nipples have started to leak,. but are not swollen. we bred her but didnt think it was successful,, she is showing no signs of pregnancy although she would be 63 days if it were successful

There are two possibilities here....one is she is almost ready to give birth.....(dogs pregnancy lasts about 69 days) The second is she has a case of "False Pregnancy"

My instinct is this is False Pregnancy. The only solution is take her to the vet to see if there ARE any pups (you would probably notice her belly was very swollen by this stage though. If she was pregnant with only one or two pups her belly may not be very large however. However, by this stage pups would be quite easy to feel) Or, wait because false pregnancy passes. It is a result of hormone surges and always occurs around the time pups would be born, had the mating been successful.
It's not dangerous, or an illness in itself, but can pre-dispose the dog to female problems in later life, such as Pyometra and even breast cancer.

If you need to breed her, there are remedies which will help with False Pregnancy. Homeopathic remedies help. Either Sepia or Pulsatilla.

If you do not need to breed her, then the best solution is to get her spayed. Then there will be no more problems for her.
