Cysts and Pregnancy

My doctor believes I have some stage of endometriosis and last month he found a very large cyst on my ovary which shrinked after my period (he found a second one at that point).  I go back today to see if they are still there and if I should have a laparoscopy to remove them and any endo that might be there.  My question is, if I don't have them removed and get pregnant can they affect my pregnancy?  Someone I know had a cyst on her ovary while pregnant and it ended up wrapping around her ovary and she had to have surgery while pregnant.  Luckily, everything worked out for her.  I'm just trying to weigh the options if I should have the laparoscopy to clear everything out.  I hate that there isn't a 100% way to know if endo grew back.  I have the symtoms (symptoms)-very painful shooting pains in the stomach that starts 5 days or so before my period.  Problems w/my bowl movements that I sometimes shake because the pain is so bad, painful intercourse and low back pain.  What are your opinions if I should just go forward and have the lap?  I guess i'm worried that what if they do it and it ends up the endo didn't grow back, then i had surgery for nothing.

If you have never had surgery it can be a scary thing, but it can also be worth it. I had a lap done 1.5 yr ago, but only because I had horrible cramps from my period that started after taking Clomid. I already had endo and did not know but the clomid made it worse cause it stimulates estrogen which feeds the endo. I had a lot of relief from the lap and the surgery was way better than the crams I had.Unfortunately, the endo is back and this time on my ovary(endometioma) and we still haven't gotten prego. Right now I am just trying to trust and try some alternative treatments cause I really don't want another surgery. I'm still glad I had the surgery cause the pain was unbearable before. It's a risk, but it may be what you need. Bottom line is, everyone is different so just go with your intuition. The endo may come back, but you could also have a healthy pregnancy as a result. Good luck on your journey.
