Endo debate

I am 27 yrs old. I was diagnosed last year with Stage 4 endo. I tried birth control pills, but they did not help with my severe pain at all. I then had a laparoscopy done at the end of July. I had 2 golf ball size chocolate cysts on each of my ovaries. I also had endo all in my tubes and everywhere else. My doctor removed 1 of the cysts and lasered away as much endo as he could. I had to have a laparotomy done the end of October to remove the other cyst which had gotten entangled in my bowels and remove any more endo he could find. The doc had to end up removing most of my left ovary, and some of my right ovary. I have about 25% on my left side & about 60% left on my right side. I was pain free at first. Me & my husband decided to give it 3 months to try and get pregnant before I went on some kind of medication to stop the endo from coming back. Well, the pain started coming back slowly at first around the first of January. We have not managed to get pregnant by the way. I scheduled a doc appt because I was concerned about how quickly my pain had come back. They did an ovary functioning test on me, and I have to go back in about 3 weeks or so to get another test done while I'm on my cycle. I'll find out the results of both tests in about a month or so. My question is this, has anyone else been in the same boat I'm in? I'm tired of the pain and all the emotional baggage that comes with the endo. I refuse to be in pain for the rest of my life. Me & my husband would love to have kids, but not at the risk of me being in constant pain. What chance would fertility drugs help me? My insurance doesn't cover IVF at all. My doctor has mentioned taking some sort of pill or shot to help stimulate my ovaries, but that's on the chance of my ovary test coming out good. I don't know what to do at all. I want the pain gone, but my husband and a lot of my family would like me to take the fertility meds to try and get pregnant. I don't want to waste my time and money doing that when the chances of actually getting pregnant are low to begin with. Any advice and thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!

I do not know if you are seeing an endo speciaist but if  willing to go to Atlanta to see a top notch endo specialist it might be worth it.  (He and his brothers are known world wide and are on the endometriosis assoc board.) If so here is his info:

I hope this helps,
