Do you have Anemia along with your Fibromyagia

Hi All...It has been a while since I posted a question...LOL but I was wondering if anyone else has anemia along with their fibro? Since I became ill mid 08 I have had anemia. My red blood count has increased and decreased over the last two and half years. The lowest being 7.3 and the highest 11.o. I currently see a hemotalogist along with my rheumy. I do not have lyme or lupus. The RA is still up in the air. I no longer have a high seg rate and finally this year have a confirmed diaganose of Fibro along with OS in neck , lower back, sleep apnea,Gerd, morton's Neuroma, and a slight thyroid problem...whew...LOL I have had to endure I.V treatments for my Anemia for Iron. I have had this treatment (10weeks) for three times and still I am below normal .....Thanks for any input you have. Have a wonderful day.....((((Gentle Hugs)))

Hi Pd,  Thanks for your input. I am glad you finally got a diagnosis. I think alot of us have some sort of anemia issues. Perhaps it's more to this than the doctors have been telling us. I am feeling hopeful because of all the research going on. Perhaps one day the cure will be found and we don't have to suffer everyday.........Have a wonderful day.......(((Gentle Hugs))

Trudie,
I was diagnosed with fibro this week. Prior to this diagnosis I had many of the typical symptoms of fibro that had been gripping since October 11th. Prior to my fribro diagnosis my Dr. Told me I was anemic. This caught me by surprise.

I am chronically iron deficient anemic.  I treat it and it gets better for a while, then it plummets again.  I can't take the iron all the time with IBS-C either.

I have had iron deficient anemia.  They ran all kinds of tests to ensure I wasn't bleeding internally and then we determined that my very heavy periods were the cause.  Had a uterine ablation and solved the problem.
