About 30 years ago I was tested for sickle cell trait because my son was tested positive for it and mine tested positive as well. And my father and his mother tested positive for it as well.
Now are there any similarities between the tests for Sickle cell and Porphyria? I have been dealing with alot of the issues similar to porphryia and the thought just crossed by mind that perhaps we got wrong diagnoses?
Though both the diseases are related to hemoglobin, they are totally different and the tests done are also different. Some of the symptoms are common to both.
