Regurgitation and Stomach Gurgling

After 2 weeks of having a sour taste in the back of my throat and listening to my stomach gurgle, I went to see my primary care doctor.  My diagnosed me on Monday (3 days ago) with Acid Reflux and prescribed AcipHex once a day.  I am also taking Mylanta and Tums but I don't feel any better, can't sleep at night because of the regurgitation and gurgling and now have diarrhea.  What is going on?  I have never had heartburn or any type of digestive issues in my life. The only issue I had in the last 5 years was the stomach bug in mid february.....could I still have that?  The doctor also checked my blood for H. Pylori on tuesday but I don't have the results yet.  Any advice is appreciated.

Hi,
You are having breakthrough acid reflux in the night.
You need to take aciphex twice a day along with H2RA like ranitidine once at night.

The diarrhea may be due to aciphex. If it persists or affects your activities, consult your doctor.

If you are postive for H.pylori, then you may have to take medications for about 1-2 weeks for complete relief.
