Question about human waste

I posted this in the general health forum but thought this might be the right place.

This is embarrassing and perhaps strange but today after having some diarrhea at home I realized that we had very little toilet paper left. I wiped two or three times with what was remaining but after the last wipe, it definitely wasn't fully clean.
I wasn't sure what to do so I jumped into the shower to clean off any residual mess. I live with roommates so I tried to clean the shower floor, taps, and bathtub rim in order not to leave anything behind.
However, after about 15-20 seconds of rinsing in the shower I realized I had left the soap on the bathroom sink so I stepped briefly out of the shower to get it and then proceeded to clean myself.
Now I am feeling very guilty that I either didn't clean the shower well enough or that I may have dropped some slightly dirty water on to the bathroom floor when I jumped out to grab the soap. I was going to try to clean the floor but as soon as I got out of the bathroom to go get something to clean it with, my roommate got into the shower and I had to leave for an appointment.
Any danger to my roommates from possibly stepping in water with traces of my feces?
Many thanks

I think this is a case where you wait and see.  Most likely nothing will happen.  And, if the roommate hasn't found out yet, the less the roommate knows at this point the better.  People with functional immune systems can ward off the little bit there that you're talking about.  I wouldn't worry about it.  Most GI problems are not caused by something contagious.  Unless the roommate gets sick with something, you're better off not saying anything to the roommate.  Especially if you're young and around college age.  Kids that age aren't a whole lot more mature than kids in high school, so they can be a lot like what you had to put up with in the high school boys gym locker room.  I think this is one of those things you leave alone until or unless you have to say something.

I wouldnt worry you can only imagine what they walk in on the beach in bare feet, you dont know who did what when etc you get the idea.....you are being a bit paranoid. You cleaned up as best you could and thats good. As long as you rinsed the soap good last thing .....I would hate someone to go washthere face with it...just kidding...Im sure its fine
