Seeing a chiropractor would be a great idea, they deal with pinched nerves and this sure sounds like a pinched nerve issue to me. The neck and back are just loaded with nerve highways and when they get blocked, oh my, anything can happen.

Are your fingers and hands cold all the time, do they turn purple fast when you are getting something out of the freezer. This could also be Raynaud's disease, this is a vascular disorder, so, if you have not done so and the chiropractor does not help, I would sure see a doctor that specializes in vascular disease.

Have you ever had a spinal injury? Sports, car accident, etc? Out of whack spine could cause that tingling pins and needles feeling your geting. If its in your hands then likely would be high up in the cervical area. May want to see a chiropractor.. just a suggestion your symptoms sound very familiar to me.
