Antibiotics will not help glandular fever, also known as infectious mononucleosis. It is caused by the Epstein Barr Virus.
Each case is a bit different. If you were just diagnosed a week ago, you should expect a minimum of 2-3 more weeks. In a bad case, like the one I had, my sore throat eased after a couple weeks, but the debilitating fatigue lasted for months. It decreased very gradulally and I didn't go a whole day without feeling crummy for at least 6 months. It was nearly a year before I would say I was well. Then, I had to recover my stamina and muscle tone.
It is very important to rest when you're tired. Think of it as medicine, and not as being lazy. Pushing yourself and getting overtired will only prolong your recovery.
Are you on any antibiotics? and yes sounds like you are getting better....
Glandular Fever does usually take about 2 weeks....maybe even a little longer till you start feeling your normal self again x
