why fingers and toes get swollen in winter? wots the basib reason?

its may be due to blood deficiency.which effect temperature regulation towards the extremeties of body like fingers and toes.

thnx Emmy..........but this problem is not just with females....its with males as well ...and i think it occurs due to temperature fluctuation and change in BP ..maintaince of temp smtyms dont meet acoordingly may b dis z the reason to occur but im still not sure so im here for help...... and im gr8 full to u !!!

I have this same problem. I looked it up once and was told that, in the winter, human bodies (especially female) retain more water in the winter. It's kinda like how squirrles hibernate. We do this cuz, if we were still living in caves, we would have trouble finding water this time of year in certain areas because of it freezing over. I don't know if there's anything you can do for it, though.
