Lead Poisoning?

I tripped and fell on a cup full of pencils and pens. One of the pencils stabbed my palm. I've had a Tetunus shot in the  past few years. Is that enough to keep me from lead poisoning. I've squeezed the area and let it bleed. Also, scrubbed the site with an antibiotic soap. Are the foregoing enough or will I have problems with lead poisoning later?

As was already stated, the pencils are not lead.  They are graphite.  People refer to them as "lead" pencils, but they are graphite.  You should probably still have the site looked at it, but you can't get lead poisoning from it.  You could still get infection, since it is a deep puncture wound, so that would be why you would want to get it looked at.  Other than that, there should be nothing to be concerned with.

Hi and sorry for your injury. Pencils are not made of lead (contrary to popular belief) they are made of graphite. So, no need to worry.
take care,
