I’m screwed

I had a risk, so I tested at 85days and 104days all NEGATIVE, but the problem is I used ORAQUICK in-home hiv test. I’m still having symptoms. My question is do HIV have persistent symptoms  for like 2, 3 or 4 months post exposure? After the symptoms I believed could ARS that came all together after a 3weeks, I got other symptoms liketingling/ticking sensation in feet, muscle weakness and pain, muscle spasm, joints pain, dry and itchy throat, headache, iflamed taste buds and blurred vision 7 WEEKS AFTER ARS. Does that happen at all? And have you seen some tested poz after having Neg- test on Oraquick? Thank you and please answer my question in detail.

I have quick question.

Is peripheral neuropathy seen in early hiv infection, say like 6 less than six month of infection?

Yes, because salivia is in your mouth.

If they say there is a risk by oral sex, than they mean getting semen or menstruation blood in your mouth. But that would be still a low risk event.

I understand.

I’m just wondering since kissing, deep kissing or whatever type of kissing is not a risk for HIV then why is Receiving a blow job is? I’m asking this because some Drs consider it a low risk, I mean it makes a little sense if you say giving oral to a man while having wound in the mouth but for the insertive partner it doesn’t make sense to say that it is a risk and if at all it is then so is kissing. Don’t you agree?

Pleasure and good work fella.

Just remember, when they say twelve weeks, this account for all of those people who can't rmember dates and also get drunk and forget things, the results from six weeks are considerd concussive but this is not widely reported.

Best wishes and all the very best!

Thank you James, I appreciate it. I trust your advise and will move on, will not test again. I’m putting this behind me. I suffered extreme anxiety, suicidal thoughts, sleepless nights you name it all. I’ve learned fro this and I’m moving on. Thank you all.

Even if you had unprotected vagainal sex with a HIV+ person, a 12 week Oraquick result is conclusive :)

Oral sex carries no risk so don't give that a second thought, you are HIV negative, no iffs or buts :)

Dude, Rocket is correct. He only mentions the penetrative sex because oral sex is not a risk to transmit HIV. You, my friend, should trust your tests and move on.

"As long as your penetrative sex was protected, your result is conclusive.” I’m sorry just to make sure I get this straight, so you’re saying the test could only be conclusive if the sex was protected?
How accurate is the Oraquick?
My penetrative sex was protected, BUT NOT for the blow job.

I’m sorry If I’m being a bug.

Hi there.

As long as your penetrative sex was protected, your result is conclusive.

Your symtoms are not relevant buddy, there is no need to restest, you are HIV negative.

Thank you James, I forgot to mention that the girl was HIV positive and not on meds. I had protected vaginal and unprotected blow job for about 7 mins minimum. The fact that she was postive keep making me think maybe my test were not accurate. Is it safe to move on? I have been having symptoms for about 3 months now even though they sound like advanced HIV or even AIDS, right? PN comes at the late stage, correct? Thanks

Hi there.

I have read your post thoroughly and can confirm that whatever symtoms you ar experiencing, they are nothing to do with HIV.

You do not need to restest and can move on safe in the knowledge of your Negative HIV status :)
