Sorry to hear Diane. I hope this was an error and you can continue with tx. I would think that if this was a breakthrough you would have seen a higher VL than <43.
I'm curious to know when you had your last PCR prior to week 32? I hope your next PCR shows und. Best of luck to you.
I am very sorry to hear this news. Hopefully it was a lab error and the next one will come back UND. Wishing you the best.
My last viral load was 4 weeks ago.
i'm so sorry to hear about your news. i really hope that it's an error on their part and you can continue tx. hopefully UND. sending you hugs and a prayer to help you get thru this. belle
Thanks Belle, I am so upset.....but I am trying to stay hopeful. Worry doesn't help, but hard not to. Hope your body is working to rid the drugs of 48 weeks and that you are feeling good. My insurance runs out in September, so I will have to find another alternative if needed. I will post after my NP appointment on Monday.
Hang tough Diane, We seen more "blips" or lab errors then breakthoughs here when this happens.
Prayerfully it was a lab error. The virus can and does "lay dormant" hidden in a tiny place in the body at times, but just have faith in getting your labs redone, with no errors. And hopefully the virus will again be "undetected".
I'm so sorry to hear of this! I'm all too aware of how awful that must be to hear that news – I'm at the same point in the same tx with the same genotype, and I've been praying I won't have to hear that myself – but it is true that we have heard of lab errors on a pretty regular basis and I will be hoping that is the only problem in your case. Best wishes, and keep us posted!
I am so sorry about this. It is of course all of our worst nightmare. To treat all these weeks, make it through the sides and then be UND just when it seems like we are in the clear. I hope this is a lab error. Either way I would want a re-test so I am glad your NP is ahead of the game on that front.
hi Diane, i found out i had hep c in 2004. but didn't need treament back then. now my Doc has started talking about it seriously. on these broads, i'm learning that treatment doesn't work for everyone. that it no magic pill or treatment. that it makes you sick and that after treatment hep c can come back. that makes me sad for you and me and all of us that are dealing with this. i pray that it was just an error and that you continue your treatment and that it works at curing you of hep C.
Diane -- you have been UND since week 6. Surely this is a lab error. Has anything changed in your treatment lately? Are you still on a reduced riba dose? If possible ask for a QuantaSure (LabCorp) or Heptimax (Quest) test instead of the standard test . The QS takes a couple of weeks to get the results back on but is worth it.
I am pulling for you
