tx is a medical abbreviation for treatment.
I treated for 6 months and relapsed after EOT. I'm currently starting week 13 of 24 weeks harvoni. My doc tells me that in the real world, the PI's had about a 75% success rate. So far my docs have had no relapses with harvoni, so i'm hopeful it will stay gone this time.
And to Dario- fantastic and good luck.
Are you saying you relapsed AFTER finishing treatment, 6months of contnual showingSVR?? If so, THAT is discouraging! OR are you saying you were on treatment for 6 months during which time you were testing undetectable, and then as soon as treatment ended, the virus became detectable again?
Great news Billy and so encouraging.
Best to you

The liver does indeed regenerate after treatment. There is a dramatic difference in my ultrasound and blood work after being undetectable for 6 months, even though I relapsed. More than 2 years later, my imaging and baseline blood work before starting treatment with Harvoni is still drastically improved from my previous treatment naive results. I compared my complete record pre and post treatment with 3x Incivek to the current pre treatment results and it seems that even given a brief respite the liver can regenerate rapidly. Even my spleen is no longer enlarged, but normal. Platelets are in normal range again. 30 years of damage undone in a few months. Amazing.
