Hep Ctreatment of BHT leads to cures for genotype1a, is this true?

I readonline in a forumthat genotype 1a has been cured by an unusual treatment of e presevative BHT,have u heard of this? My froend issuffering and has not responded well to treatment.

Don't believe everything you read online.

Genotype 1 is harder to cure but the triple treatment is doing well for many of them and the new all oral meds in clinical trials are also doing great.
Maybe your friend can get into a trial.

Only treatment with standard therapy is proven to cure hepatitis C.
Perhaps your friend can get into a clinical trial of the next generation of drugs?

Here is another post related to BHT.
There is a site called Life Extension where BHT is mentioned by so many people as a curative for HCV (and these are recent posts).
