My husband felt MUCH worse for 3-4 days after he ended INC, then the skies parted and he felt MUCH better very suddenly. His rash was worse during that time, the itching was worse, and the fatigue was worse, then it stopped. I've heard quite a few people say they had similar experiences. Hoping you feel better tomorrow!
Let me know if it works for you.
I will try that ,it seems like nothing harmfull. My itch sometimes feels like bite from insect or tiny needles comming thru skin all comming from inside and at any place even in my eyes but no rashes now.
I know I swill stay away from sun and everything I heard off.IT is frustrating because I do not see feeling any better so far and I have to go back soon to work into hospital where I wear gloves all day and work with pts in very fast paced environment.I just need more patience for sure
Don't know if it will help you or not but I used CalGel. I did not have any rashes but I did get little pimple like bumps that itched like crazy. CalaGel is intended for poison oak/ivy treatment. Anyways, I was itching so bad one night that I could not sleep, so I thought why not try it. After I used it the itching stopped within about 2 minutes and I've been using it since. If you decide to use it read the contents and research it a little before you use it and use it in one spot to see how you react to it before you take a bath in it. I would not recommend using it on a rash either (use your own judgement). The main ingredient is Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride (Liquid Benedryl).
Good Luck and hope you get through this challenge.
Hopefully now that you're done with Incivek some of the skin rash/itch will taper off. It's only been 3 days, so it may take some time. I was on Inf/Riba only and had my issues with itching and rashes, so this might continue for the remainder of tx. I see your from FL, so do your best to avoid the heat and sun, since it was a major trigger for rashes for me while on tx. Also, antihistamines (Clariton, Benadryl) and hydrocortisone helped me, but I see you've tried several other options. Continue to drink plenty of water and avoid hot showers/baths. Hope it calms done soon.
Reva you are almost there,congrats
I will try that olive oil ,thank you
Many thanks Reva and hang on
I found adding olive oil to my bath helped with keeping my skin from drying . The doctor also prescribed some creme I could apply to a bad rash area. Worked like a charm. I have been on 33 weeks of treatment, and still have some bouts of itchy skin, but drinking tons of water, staying out of the sun, using a good sunscreen, and lotion, has helped. Also, ask your doctor about benadryl

Here's the link to the thread I mentioned.
It is also now near the top of the posting if you check through the
current postings.
Good Luck

Sorry to hear you're itching. That can be awful. My doctor prescribed a medication that helped. Have to talked with you physican?
Yes, I can smell Incivek on my skin, clothes and sheets. It's in my mouth
I'm sick of it. My doctor said I could stop now, but I'm trying to complete the
full 12 weeks.
I've combated the probelm with warm baths. I also change my sheets and clothes a lot so I can get the smell under control.
I started a thread about the problem you describe.
I will bring it back to the top so you can read what everyone had to say
about their experience. I have 9 days left of Incivek and it's really challenging.
